How to Teach the Course
Sunrise 2nd Edition Language Arts 600 integrates grammar, spelling, and penmanship into one easy-to-use package. New skills are introduced incrementally at the beginning of each daily lesson, followed by reviews of the latest material as well as more familiar concepts. Lessons conclude with penmanship and spelling practice. Each LightUnit includes two lessons of creative writing.
In addition to basic English skills, students study appositives, complements, dependent clauses, and multiple kinds of pronouns.
Use our LA Diagnostic Test (DOWNLOAD here for STUDENT and TEACHER) to place new students. The teacher should monitor the student’s progress, but students do many exercises independently.
Use Extra Practice Sheet for reviewing difficult concepts.
The Answer Key is spiral bound and contains reproductions of LightUnit pages with answers.
The Teacher’s Guide includes teaching notes, spelling word lists, LightUnit pages with answers, and alternate tests.
