How to Teach the Course
Sunrise 2nd Edition Language Arts 500 includes grammar, spelling, and penmanship. New skills are introduced daily and secured by frequent review. Students learn to recognize parts of speech and understand the functions that each part of speech can perform. This course also deals with sentence structure, including discussions of complements.
Use our LA Diagnostic Test (DOWNLOAD here for STUDENT and TEACHER) to correctly place new students. The teacher should monitor the student’s progress, but students do many exercises independently.
Use Extra Practice Sheets for reviewing difficult concepts.
The Answer Key is spiral bound and contains reproductions of LightUnit pages with answers.
The Teacher’s Guide includes teaching notes, spelling word list, LightUnit pages with answers, and alternate tests.
